The Joyland Amusement Park has been open since 1949 and still maintains many of its original rides. The amusement park is located west of the Plainview Park on the outskirts of the city. The recently renamed Nightmare roller coaster is Kansas's only wooden rollercoaster designated as an Ace Coaster Classic.
